Ships:

“The "Botter”

The newest vessel in the ships series is the “Botter”. A vessel that was mostly used for fishing on great lakes and along the shore. The “Botter” became in use somewhere between 1800 and 1850. Nowadays this vessel is still popular for recreational purposes.

“The Row Boats” (I, II & III)

The first row boat was made in 2004 and now (6 years later) three new row boats are added to the series. If you compare the old row boat with the new one you see how the style developed. (see "The small boat" just below this topic).

“The small boat”

The small boat is a first test in sculpting a vessel. Although the boat looks simple it was quite an exercise to get this done. The boat can carry up to 3 miniatures and looks sober without any detail. The basic idea is to get the grain of the wood right. Its best that you judge for your self.

“The medium sized boat”

The medium sized boat is the next logical step in the development of sculpting boats. With this larger vessel, the first tests on more then one deck has been made. Also the idea of working with a combination of grained wood and smooth wood was tested. The vessel can be used to transport a small group of up to 6 miniatures at a time.

“The medium sized "pimped" boat”

The pimped version of the medium sized boat is focussed on more detail. Apart from a mast that was added and some barrels, chests and sacks, some rope was added alongside the hull of the boat as well. The rope goes around all the way and below the stern a thick rope is added.

“The Merchant vessel”

Different from the earlier smaller models, we now have a ship with true multiple decks. A slightly higher front deck where you can place 5 miniatures, a higher rear deck where you can place 5 or 6 miniatures and the middle deck where you can place up to 12 miniatures depending if you decide to place the mast yes or no. A more detailed vessel with nice features like a door, a window, support beams and more.

“The Buccaneer ship”

The largest in the fleet and a true war vessel with its 10 canons on board. This ship with its lengts of nearly 50 centimeters is a real eyecatcher on the games table. Again I tried adding more detail like the captains cabin, windows, capstan, extended masts with fighting tops etc.
