Miniatures

This "MINIATURES" page let you see the work I've done in the last 20 years concerning 25mm figure painting. I also made some conversions. And as a real fanatic I do have to paint at least over another 1000 models yet.

It was somewhere in 1984 that I encountered a small fantasy shop in the middle of Amsterdam. After half an hour I left the shop with 2 boxed sets. “Heroes” and “The Green Dragon” from “Citadel miniatures”. Looking back at that particular moment, it was then that the hobby of miniature painting, scenery building and playing tabletop games was born. The dragon can still be found on the miniatures page and one of the heroes (with the tablecloth design) as well.

My first army was an undead army. I sold this one and I do encounter it once a year during a Wargame weekend. The second army was a huge Orc, Goblin, Snotling, Troll, Giant and Monster army. I sold this one also in bits and sometimes I encounter some of these models as well. The only army I have these days is my High Elven Army. It is finished for 1/3rd so lots of painting has to be done.

The pressure of painting whole regiments is gone. I paint what I like so I switch from model to model. The great excuse however, not painting miniatures, is the fact that I like scenery building also a lot.
