The "Projects" page shows all kind
of scenic structures I've made over the years for 25mm table
top games. Being more a builder then a player I rarely use my projects
in table top games. I do however enjoy seeing people play using my scenery pieces
and as long as this is the case I will keep on building scenery.
The second house that goes with the docks is finished. Again we see 2 facades
both with ship elements worked in to it. Another feature is the use of elegant facing-bricks.
The basic archetecture comes from the period between 1620 and 1650. From this point on I also will focus on
more realistic structures from that time.
The launch of the first house is finally there.
I did a lot on designing and sculpting tests the last few months.
I realy got a creative boost during my holliday last july and the first result is a house,
designed using early 17th century examples with fantasy elements worked in to it.
"The naval theme" Cought by the pirates theme the imagination got wild again. It all started with a
tiny boat and there it went totally out of hand. The latest update is the Buccaneer ship.
"The Wild Wild West" is a theme project for the entire year 2005.
This theme includes buildings as well as miniatures and is started because of the fun I have in playing a game called
"Wanted: Dead or Alive".
"The City Plan" is a project that
consists out of 16 floor. (or city tiles) The idea
behind this is to be able to make different lay outs so the
games you play doesn't look the same all the time.
"The Ruined Chapel" is one of the more difficult projects.
Besides the use of the normal building blocks there are also custom made building
parts in this project.
The Ruined Tavern is the first large multi layer project I made using Hirst Arts
Castlemolds ™. The idea comes from a cardboard house from the “Mordheim” game.
"The Bridge House" was the house of a wealthy mercant.
It was common for the middleclass people to have houses that
consisted out of more than one building.
The Ruined House is a simple rectangular
building. If you really want to make a city that looks like
a city, you have to built a number of these small houses and some even
smaller than this one.
"The Ruined Watchtower" was one of the many City Guard Watchtowers along the city
limits. They were built to defend the city but also came to use during revolts.
The "Venetian Tea House" was once
situated on the harbour site from where the merchants could
see their ships set sail to the corners of the world.
Nowadays rich people come here to have afternoon tea.
"The Diceroller" is a multi purpose
building within a game. Fist of all it is a building like
any other building to game on. Besides that this building can be used to roll the dice.
Unlike most other projects on the buildings page, I built
this tower out of card board, foam board, paper, wood, clay
and sand. A fully scratch build tower.
This project is the greatest and most challenging I’ve done so far.
Actually it isn’t that big. Its even a bit off scale
comparing to the miniatures some manufacturers produce today.
The castle is fully scratch build and please looks closely at the court yard
The Hirst Arts Originals section is where I display the buildings as they are designed by Bruce Hirst.
These buildings are designed to help people on their way when they buy a certain mold.
The custom built watchtower of “Amon Sul” a great challenge since almost the entire structure is custom build.
In this project I first used textured silicone strips to produce custom building blocks.
This article is about my Helms Deep
project. I will try to explain how I build this monster so
this means lots of pictures and text. The first project build out of resin.
The first Pirates table I made. Right after playing the game at the "Origins"convention and when I got back home
I started working on this table since I had so much fun playing this Pirates game.
